Dear Friends and Colleagues,

Following upon the statement of principles enunciated by of our distinguished colleagues Mike Abbott and Jean Cunge, and therewith following the existing and traditional IAHR procedures that should be adhered to in the selection of a new Chairman of the Hydroinformatics Section, I state herewith that I am prepared to take the Chair of the Hydroinformatics Section.

I shall endeavour to promote the cooperation with the IAHS and IWA in collaboration with our colleagues who represent these organizations and to set this on a sound footing.
