• Presentation by Philippe Gourbesville of organisation, inclusive of new co-sponsoring organisations, key sessions, PCO arrangements (virtual organisation found to be satisfactory).
• Expectation is 300 – 400 delegates.
• Abstracts are due by end of October.
• Potential for good papers to be included in Journal of Hydroinformatics and Journal of River basin Management.

• Technical program for conference discussed, Need for member involvement in program recognised Vladan to write to Giampaolo Di Silvio noting the Sections wish to help with paper & abstract review

• History of proposed co-operation with Eco-Hydraulics Conference was outlined by Arthur.
• Options proposed were McMaster and Chile.
• Chile option was in conjunction with Eco-Hydraulics Conference.
• Option of Specialty Workshop at unsuccessful venue was raised and agreed by meeting.

1. Meeting agreed to hold 8th Hydroinformatics Conf. in Chile.
2. Specialty Conference to be held at McMaster.
3. Vladan and Arthur to contact the relevant parties and advise of meeting decisions and proposals.

• Next ICHE Conference to be held at Drexel University, Philadelphia in the week after the 7th Hydroinformatics Conference.
• General discussion on similarity of topics and need for better communications between the groups.

Vladan to write to Arthur requesting action to improve communications between the two groups.

Journal of Hydroinformatics

• Meeting was informed that Dr Vedrana Kutija had resigned from the Editorial Board

• Progress on web-based paper review was outlined.

• Meeting was advised that the Journal is being tracked for potential determination of Impact Factor. First announcement will be in 2007.

• Paper progress was outlined.

• Potential for a special issue on environmental Hydroinformatics discussed.

Vladan to continue discussions with IWA Publishing re web-based review.

Other Issues

• Web-site – Hamish Harvey developed a web site for the group www.hydroinformatics-community.org

• IAHR Strategic Plan – limited discussion on proposed changes for IAHR Structure.

Members interested in the changed structure are encouraged to make comments.
